Flights to Norfolk also started the same day. 2 weeks later, Sacramento was added to their route network. Although Skytran's HQ is in Norfolk, their operations are planned to extend from Myrtle Beach, Roanoke, Newark, and Releigh-Durham. The pilot was able to sucessfully land in a field 5 NM away. 5 out of the 7 crew on board survived, and 343 out of the 350 passengers on board survived. The aircraft was written off.
