So you've decided to help join in the never-ending task of categorising pages? Here's all you'll need for help :)

== Why categorise? ==
Categories greatly assist in navigating the wiki. If someone is looking for all pages related to a particular topic (e.g. airlines in a particular world), then all they have to do is navigate to that category instead of trawling through every single page. Ergo, it makes everyone's life easier.

== How to categorise ==
To start off with, categorise pages into broader ones, like [[:Category:Airlines]] and [[:Category:Alliances]]. Once this is done, then you can move into splitting the pages into smaller and more specific categories, like [[:Category:Airlines in AE1]], and placing these sub-categories into the larger ones. Again, the whole aim of this is to make pages easier to find.

Using wikitext, to categories you simply place:

at the bottom of the editing area. You may add as many as you like (and are relevant).

FujiAir was established in November 2015 and commenced operations soon after.

== History ==
FujiAir began slowly with a single Boeing 737-700. However, it later leased two more 737-700s, and a single 737-800 which acted as the company's flagship. It then launched its FujiExpress and FujiClipper operations, and 787s were ordered for international services.

== Destinations ==

FujiAir has an extensive network of regional and international flights. FujiAir operates the longest 737-700 service anywhere in the world: 3713 miles from Tokyo (HND) to Kauai Island, US (LIH).

FujiAir has three hubs: Tokyo Haneda, Hiroshima and Sendai. FujiAir serves 88 destinations.

FujiAir was involved in some controversy with the United Nations after announcing service to North Korea. The services continue, however, as FujiAir flies nonstop daily from Pyongyang (FNJ) to Sendai (SDJ) and Hiroshima (HIJ), and has upgraded its Tokyo (HND) service to twice daily. Many North Koreans are choosing FujiAir because it offers better connections across Asia and the world than Air Koryo, NK's national carrier.

== Accidents ==
FujiAir has not been involved in any hull-loss accidents.
However, on January 2, 2018, ATR72 JA615J's landing gear collapsed during taxi out of Sendai (SDJ) after landing, operating domestic flight FJ2598 from Hakodate (HKD). There were no injuries. The airplane was repaired and returned to service.

Acquiring aircraft can come in two forms leasing or purchasing

==Leasing==
Leasing aircraft is the most popular method of getting aircraft on Airline Empires.

To do so, go to 'Order New Aircraft' or 'Buy Used Aircraft' on the left hand side of your screen:

Depending on what aircraft is available in your current game world's time zone, type of new aircraft you can lease varies. To lease, find your preferred aircraft on the list and next to the name (left) there is a picture of a cart and a clock:

Click on the clock and you will be navigated to the "lease aircraft" page. Select your preferred engine, quantity of order, length of contract, aircraft configuration, IFEs, etc...

Your delivery date(s) will be displayed and your down payment. If these are to your liking, click 'lease aircraft' or scroll down and adjust your settings if you are not happy with it.

If you are leasing used aircraft, simply find your preferred aircraft and click lease plane to the (left) of the aeroplane name. You have no control over engine preference, but it's cheaper leasing aircraft. Select the length of your contract and confirm the lease.

==Purchasing==
Buying aircraft cost more than leasing, but you only pay once (unlike monthly lease charge).

You follow the same process as for leasing, except you select the shopping trolley on this screen instead of the clock:

To research a route, go to the research route tab. Choose the two airports that the route you want to look up connect. Once that's done,select research route. You will then see the airlines that fly the route, how much PAX the airlines and the route have, and graphs showing who has the most PAX for each class and the total route.

To research a airport,go to the lease gates tab. Choose the continent the airport is on, then once the list pops up, scroll down the list until you find the airport. Select the highlighted blue code for the airport (aka Seattle-Tacoma is SEA). You will then see airport information. You can also access this page when you find any airport that says details (highlighted in blue) next to it.

Once you've bought an aircraft, you are able to customize it. First, go to the configure cabin layout tab on the right of the page. Second, choose create new configuration and then choose for which aircraft. You then need to choose how many of each class you want on your planes, choose wisely!
Once your done, and the configuration is created,at the bottom of the list of your configurations is a few lists. '''The aircraft you have selected ''MUST'' be the same as the type of configuration's airplane type!''' Once that's done click install and then pay for the installation. There you go! You have customized you planes!

Managing hubs

Once you have 5 gates rented at a chosen airport, you may open a hub there. In AE, hubs do increase maintenance costs but produce connecting PAX. Connecting PAX can increase the amount of total revenue of the hub or hubs the aircraft is flying from/to. Hubs also let you have more than 5 gates at the chosen airport. To create a new hub, go to the manage hubs tab. Select the airport you want to open a hub at (remember you must have 5 gates). Then click open hub. You will need to pay a starter fee varying on which airport your opening the hub at.

If you want to close a hub, all you need to do is go to the manage hubs tab, select the hub you want to close, and click close hub. After you pay the fee to shut the hub down, you have no hub at the airport anymore.

Before starting up a new route, you must find the airport pair you would like to establish. It can be done by using the "Route Research" function:-

Enter the airport pair you are interested in and click 'Search'.

It will show details of flight between these two airports. You may decide whether it is profitable by comparing the supply & demand figure, number of competitors, ticket prices for current operators, etc.

Don't forget to check for the distance between the two cities you choose and make sure the aircraft you assign has sufficient range.

Having access to another airport in which to operate your routes requires you to lease a gate. A lease represents a month-to-month commitment by your airline to utilise at least one slot available for the gate, and further obliges your airline to pay for the gate's full capacity, regardless of your utilisation.

Another option, when your finances are sufficiently strong later in the game and you must expand beyond the current allotment, you may build a terminal.

Acquiring aircraft can come in two forms leasing or purchasing

==Leasing==
Leasing aircraft is the most poplar method of getting aircraft on Airline Empires.

To do so, go to 'Order New Aircraft' or 'Buy Used Aircraft' on the left hand side of your screen:

Depending on what aircraft is available in your current game world's time zone, type of new aircraft you can lease varies. To lease, find your preferred aircraft on the list and next to the name (left) there is a picture of a cart and a clock:

Click on the clock and you will be navigated to the "lease aircraft" page. Select your preferred engine, quantity of order, length of contract, aircraft configuration, IFEs, etc...

Your delivery date(s) will be displayed and your down payment. If these are to your liking, click 'lease aircraft' or scroll down and adjust your settings if you are not happy with it.

If you are leasing used aircraft, simply find your preferred aircraft and click lease plane to the (left) of the aeroplane name. You have no control over engine preference, but it's cheaper leasing aircraft. Select the length of your contract and confirm the lease.

Buying aircraft cost more than leasing, but you only pay once (unlike monthly lease charge).

Having access to another airport in which to operate your routes requires you to lease a gate. A lease represents a month-to-month commitment by your airline to utilise at least one slot available for the gate, and further obliges your airline to pay for the gate's full capacity, regardless of your utilisation.

Another option, when your finances are sufficiently strong later in the game and you must expand beyond the current allotment, you may build a terminal.

Airline Empires is an airline management simulation. With the many members it has there is a LOT of competition, and if you're startng out, that kind of spoils the fun a bit. But if you have good strategies you can build your airline quickly, here are some tips to get you started:

When you've just started your airline the game is at its hardest. So, in order to make sure your profit builds for later on, here are the first tips:

To research a route, go to the research route tab. Choose the two airports that the route you want to look up connect. Once that's done,select research route. You will then see the airlines that fly the route, how much PAX the airlines and the route have, and graphs showing who has the most PAX for each class and the total route.

To research a airport,go to the lease gates tab. Choose the continent the airport is on, then once the list pops up, scroll down the list until you find the airport. == Buying/Leasing an aircraft ==

To buy or lease an aircraft, go to the buy (new or used) aircraft tab. When you buy/lease an aircraft, you will have to wait a few months for it to arrive.

To lease, find the plane you would like then select lease. Choose which engines you want then choose how many of the aircraft you want. Then click negotiate. If you have enough money, select 'lease aircraft'. You will need to pay a fee depending on the aircraft and configuration you've chosen.

=== Buying ===

To buy an aircraft, select the aircraft you want then select the shopping cart in the new aircraft page and the check bot then the buy aircraft button on the used aircraft page. Once again you will need to choose which engines and how many of the airplane you want, push negotiate, and then pay at least half of the total cost of the aircraft to buy the aircraft. You can not buy the aircraft without less then 50% of what you must pay for the airplane.

== Selling an aircraft ==
To sell an aircraft, select the sell aircraft tab. Select the aircraft you want to sell, and then click sell aircraft. The website will tell you how much you will sell the aircraft for, then click sell aircraft again.

Once you've bought an aircraft, you are able to customize it. First, go to the configure cabin layout tab on the right of the page. Second, choose create new configuration and then choose for which aircraft. You then need to choose how many of each class you want on your planes, choose wisely!
Once your done, and the configuration is created,at the bottom of the list of your configurations is a few lists. '''The aircraft you have selected ''MUST'' be the same as the type of configuration's airplane type!''' Once that's done click install and then pay for the installation. There you go! You have customized you planes!

Airport terminals

== Opening a terminal ==

To Open a terminal, go to the manage terminals tab. Select the airport you want, type in how many gates you want, click get quota, and click build terminal. (Remember the terminal must at least have 5 gates.)

== Selling a terminal ==

In order to sell a terminal, you must have no flights out of it. Go to the manage terminals tab, go to sell terminal, select the terminal you want to sell, then select sell. You will now put your terminal on the market for someone else to buy.

== Buying a terminal ==

Go to the manage terminals tab, select the terminal you want to buy under buy terminals, then do finish the the rest of what it tells you to do.

== Demolish or shorten a terminal ==

To demolish or shorten a terminal, go to the manage terminals tab, select the terminal you want to demolish under demolish or shorten a terminal. Choose if you want to shorten or demolish the terminal. You will need to pay fees for the destruction or reduction of your terminal.

Managing hubs

Once you have 5 gates rented at a chosen airport, you may open a hub there. In AE, hubs do increase maintenance costs but produce connecting PAX. Connecting PAX can increase the amount of total revenue of the hub or hubs the aircraft is flying from/to. Hubs also let you have more than 5 gates at the chosen airport. To create a new hub, go to the manage hubs tab. Select the airport you want to open a hub at (remember you must have 5 gates). Then click open hub. You will need to pay a starter fee varying on which airport your opening the hub at.

If you want to close a hub, all you need to do is go to the manage hubs tab, select the hub you want to close, and click close hub. After you pay the fee to shut the hub down, you have no hub at the airport anymore.

Setting up routes

Before starting up a route, you must find the city pair you would like to establish. It can be done by using the "Route Research" function:-

1. Enter the city pair you are interested in and click search.

2. It will show details of flight between these two cities. You may decide whether it is profitable by comparing the supply & demand figure, number of competitors, ticket prices for current operators, etc.

3. Don't forget to check for the distant between the two cities you choose and make sure the aircraft you assign has sufficient range.

To set up a route, you must have the following:-

1. Origination and Destination airports' gates (with enough slot).

2. An aircraft with sufficient range and enough available time for a round trip journey plus turn time.

3. Enough cash for "Route Start Up Cost".

Then the process for setting up a route is relatively simple:-

1. Click “Open New Route” and enter the city pair.

2. It will show aircraft with sufficient range and time available at the bottom of the page.

3. Choose the aircraft you would like to operate the route. You may choose more than one aircraft jointly operating the route. (***if you find that the frequency available it shows is fewer than the aircraft(s) can operate, check the number of time slots at the right and ensure you have sufficient slots.***).

4. Decide the ticket price for the route. You may compare the price with you competitors to ensure your airline is competitive.

5. Click “Open Route” to continuous.

6. You will be directed to the “Route Details” where you can see the occupancy for your newly established route. Fine-tune you ticket price to make a balance between profit and occupancy. Remember: 100% Occupancy is NOT equal to maximum profit!!

Afterward, you may find your route(s) by clicking the “Route” function.
