FujiAir was established in November 2015 and commenced operations soon after.

History
FujiAir began slowly with a single Boeing 737-700. However, it later leased two more 737-700s, and a single 737-800 which acted as the company's flagship. It then launched its FujiExpress and FujiClipper operations, and 787s were ordered for international services.

Destinations
FujiAir has an extensive network of regional and international flights. FujiAir operates the longest 737-700 service anywhere in the world: 3713 miles from Tokyo (HND) to Kauai Island, US (LIH).

FujiAir has three hubs: Tokyo Haneda, Hiroshima and Sendai. FujiAir serves 88 destinations.

FujiAir was involved in some controversy with the United Nations after announcing service to North Korea. The services continue, however, as FujiAir flies nonstop daily from Pyongyang (FNJ) to Sendai (SDJ) and Hiroshima (HIJ), and has upgraded its Tokyo (HND) service to twice daily. Many North Koreans are choosing FujiAir because it offers better connections across Asia and the world than Air Koryo, NK's national carrier.

Fleet
In May 2019, the average age of FujiAir's fleet was 2.3 years.
Accidents
FujiAir has not been involved in any hull-loss accidents, although there have been several minor incidents:
On January 2, 2018, ATR72-500 JA615J's landing gear collapsed during taxi out of Sendai (SDJ) after landing, operating domestic flight FJ2598 from Hakodate (HKD). There were no injuries. The airplane was repaired and returned to service.
On April 30, 2019, two FujiAir aircraft, Boeing 787-9 JA549K operating FJ3848 from Tel Aviv (TLV) to Tokyo Haneda (HND) with 219 people aboard, and Boeing 737-700 JA647M operating flight FJ3395 from Hiroshima (HIJ) to Anchorage (ANC) with 97 people aboard, were involved in a near-miss collision. FJ3395 was allowed to climb to 22,000 feet, however it mistakenly understood "32,000 feet". A lack of designated air corridors around Hiroshima contributed to the near-disaster, as the descending 787 and the ascending 737 were routed in the same corridor. The Japanese 787 crew complained that the TCAS had not sounded soon enough, and that the display was unclear, resulting in major changes to TCAS systems.

FujiAir was established in November 2015 and commenced operations soon after.

History
FujiAir began slowly with a single Boeing 737-700. However, it later leased two more 737-700s, and a single 737-800 which acts as the company's flagship. It then launched its FujiExpress and FujiClipper operations

Destinations
FujiAir has an extensive network of regional and international flights. FujiAir operates the longest 737-700 service anywhere in the world: 3713 miles from Tokyo (HND) to Kauai Island, US (LIH).
FujiAir has three hubs:
• Tokyo Haneda (HND) – International Hub
• Hiroshima (HIJ) - Domestic/Regional Hub
• Sendai (SDJ) - Domestic/Regional Hub
FujiAir serves 88 destinations.
FujiAir was involved in some controversy with the United Nations after announcing service to North Korea. The services continue, however, as FujiAir flies nonstop daily from Pyongyang (FNJ) to Sendai (SDJ) and Hiroshima (HIJ), and has upgraded its Tokyo (HND) service to twice daily. Many North Koreans are choosing FujiAir because it offers better connections across Asia and the world than Air Koryo, NK's national carrier.

To start a new airline - or access your existing airlines - go the to My Airlines page. Each playable world will be listed below with summary information on current number of airlines, progress in the game, etc. Simply enter the name of your desired new airline in the provided textbox and click "Enter World".

Airline creation will take you step by step through establishing your airline, including selection of aeroplanes as shown above and location of your initial gate agreements. Note that the textbox next to the airports dropdown acts as a filter and not a direct selection of your desired airport, so please ensure that an airport is selected in the dropdown before proceeding.

Congratulations! You have launched your new airline. Now proceed to investigate your first route by leasing a gate at another airport (see the Leasing gates section).

Having started your airline, your first act of CEO is to manage your costs. Of note, by negotiating leases with aeroplane manufacturers and with airports, you have created on-going monthly liabilities, so spend your initial cash wisely.

What next?

Airline Empires has been continuously developed and modified since 2004. This section describes the game worlds playable in Airline Empires.

Current Worlds
Each world lasts for 20 game years and is limited to 250 airlines. Each player may run as many airlines as they wish.
These worlds are accessible once logged in to your forum account.

* Open Worlds: AE1 (2000-2028, 45 min/day) AE3 (1990-2018, 30min/day) AE5 (1985-2005, 30min/day) AE7 (1990-2005, 30min/day)
**In this world, there are no restrictions or political boundaries limiting where an airline can fly. Expansion is generally quicker, and airlines can fly any city pair in the world.
** Each airline can lease up to 40% of all gates at an airport, or 75% if it's a hub.

* Realistic Worlds: AE2 (1985-2000, 60min/day), AE4 (1995-2023, 30min/day), AE6 (1995-2015, 30min/day) AE8 (2000-2025, 30 min/day) AE10 (1990-2010, 30min/day), AE12 (1995-2015, 30min/day) AE14 (1985-2000, 30min/day)
**These realistic worlds contain more rules governing flights. Airlines are not allowed to fly between two points both outside of its home country.
** Each airline is limited to leasing 5 gates at an airport (or 15 if it's a hub). Further expansion requires building a terminal.
**For example, consider three countries: A, B, and C. An airline based in Country A can fly between A and B or A and C but not between B and C.

Legacy (Unsupported) Worlds
These worlds are still open to cater to players who enjoy the old style of gameplay.

* SIM3 (AE Classic)
**This game is based on the second version of Airline Empires. Compared to the current worlds listed above, SIM3 is relatively simple: there is no first or business class service, no aircraft leasing, and no historical chronological progression (years are numbered from 1 to 10). SIM3 contains modern aircraft and intense competition. Each round lasts 10 years, and competition is generally heavy.
**SIM3 does not support single sign-on using one's forum account. Players need to create a separate account in the game in order to play.

* SIM1 (AE Original)
**This is the original, first version of Airline Empires.
**SIM1 generally covers an earlier time period (between 1946 and the 70's).
