== History ==

-
MacAir is its creator's first attempt at an airline in [[Airline Empires]], and, as a result, took a decidedly disorganised form. Used often by its creator to experiment with different strategies, MacAir evolved from a small regional airline based in South-Eastern [[w:Australia|Australia]] to a now global airline flying to all continents bar Antarctica and North America.

-

-
Following the acquisition of the first hub in Albury (ABX) and a number of long-range 777-200s, the airline began flying to Yogyakarta (YOG), opening a hub there, and to Singapore (XSP). The JOB hub was later closed due to low passenger numbers and demand.

-

-
The airline's expansion into Asia was assisted by the decision to base most activity out of Hyderabad (HYD) and Urumqi (URC). Today, MacAir has multiple well-utilised gates at both airports and URC even has its own hub, now with many aircraft flying in and out every day.

== Destinations ==

-
MacAir currently flies to around 70 destinations on all continents except Antarctica and North America. A majority of flights operate out of:

*URC

== Fleet ==

-
MacAir is currently embarking on a scheme to reduce the number and age of aircraft flown. As a general guide, aircraft more than eight years old and/or with two or fewer aircraft of its type being flown are up for replacement, mainly with newly acquired Airbus A330-200s and ATR-42-600s.
