''Founded in 2003, Delta Airways is climbing. After starting with regional flights, Delta Airways now has flights into the Caribbean,Mexico, Canada, Europe,and Central and South America. In an ambitious plan called 'Operation Climbing Higher', announced two weeks ago by Delta Airways CEO K.V. Smith, Delta Airways hopes to see itself expand into Asia within the next two years and into Australia later after that.''

== Company affairs ==
''In 2004, Delta Airways became the sixth member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Working closely with Etihad Airways, Delta Airways has become a fast growing member by getting timely advice from other members in the alliance. Delta Airways is also a major contributor in the Memphis area, working closely with FedEx in the community on different projects and humanitarian efforts. In 2006, Delta Airways started receiving Boeing 777-200LRs and Boeing 777-300ERs and started routes to Asia and into the Middle East. In 2007, the airline started flight to South Africa from its hub in Memphis. In October 2011, Delta Airways recieved its first Boeing 787-8.''
