Monarch Airlines has also joined the alliance, Wings Alliance. == The Founding == Airline-Empires user Justmad123 (who had already launched airline Thomson Airways) was looking to launch a new airline that will be capable of operating flights to not just Europe but other continents. This is when Monarch was founded. For the first months of operation, Monarch was far less superior to Thomson Airways, with it's profits being low and sometimes even losing money, but with the addition of new routes and new aircraft, Monarch became superior to Thomas Cook with high profits. == Thomson Airways files for Bankruptcy == After 2 years of operation, Thomson Airways were forced to file for bankruptcy when debt grew to $100,000,000.
