{{Game Help Nav}} Airline Empires is an airline management simulation. With the many members it has there is a LOT of competition, and if you're startng out, that kind of spoils the fun a bit. But if you have good strategies you can build your airline quickly, here are some tips to get you started: == Starting off == When you've just started your airline the game is at its hardest. So, in order to make sure your profit builds for later on, here are the first tips: '''Start in an airport with many surrounding cities'''. If you pick an airport in the middle of nowhere, your aircraft probably won't be able to fly the range to far-flung areas. '''Fly to nearby areas'''. Big profit comes from close areas (we don't mean Melbourne- Melbourne Essedon, that doen't work) '''Big+Big=BIG!'''. Fly between bigger airports. Starting in areas in the EU also gives you a boost, especially in realistic sims. You can fly between big cities and the routes have lots of demand! The more demand= the more loaded the plane. The more loaded the plane=more people paying. More people paying=more money for you. More money for you= BIG BUCKS! This does not mean that you should fly only over saturated, high demand routes. Many small(er) routes can be profitable also. '''Don't go marching into other people's territories!''' If you're just starting out, your airline will be pretty small. Don't try competing with people bigger than you. HOWEVER, don't let airlines grow from your hub/HQ. If you notice another airline operating from your focus city, its likely they'll grow from that. Better eliminate them before they get too big and dominate your area <_< '''No profit?''' if you're not making profit on a route, lower/raise the prices! If you're not making profit because of competition, offer better (lower) prices than your competitors! If your planes are 100% loaded and you have no profit, fine tune your prices! Raise them. Start by raising your prices by $100/$200 each time until you make profit. Keep raising your prices until your plane(s) are no longer full (<90%. Then lower the prices by about $50 until your plane(s) are loaded again (>90%). Then, raise your price again a dollar at a time till you hit the maximum profit potential! '''Consider a Low-Cost Airline''' While you may want to jump in and revolutionise how business travellers fly, it is generally a better idea to adopt a low-cost business model. Examples of ways to do this are: Operate only one model of plane, such as the A320 or 737, Maximise the number of seats to a plane, and ensure they are all economy seats, Fly from secondary airports (Newark rather than JFK, Stansted rather than Heathrow) And keep planes flying as much as possible (Aim the plane for as few hours free as possible - this isn't realistic but it works) == Expanding == Once your profits are leading your cash above ($5 mil) then you're ready to keep expanding. Start expanding your fleet, increase routes and much more! '''More planes''' Start acquiring a bigger fleet. We suggest you lease from the used market until you have about ($15 mill)-($20 Mill)Then lease from new aircraft until about ($25 mill)-($30 mill). Then start buying Used aircraft until finally, funds allow buying new aircraft (without going bankrupt) at about ($150 mill)-($200 mill). Consider joining an alliance for a little extra boost on some routes from connecting Traffic. [[Category:Help]]
